I did read somewhere that it's a first come first served system. Knowing Wizz like most of us do I bet that they only put one seat up for offer, that covers them for advertising. I have said many times in the past that they are worst than Ryanair for conning people, :Headbang:and I haven't changed my mind

I see that the prices for October half term are good to get to Bulgaria but when they know that they have got you out there they are charging the earth to get back to the UK. I suppose that is clever marketing
I will be going to the villa on 6th November to close it down for the winter

Just a thought Willow! If you have not alreayd booked the flights that we can close the villa down after the family have left should you wish, They will be flying home on 1st or second of Nov dependiing on the flights.

This is absolutely outrageous and killing the holiday and tourist trade. For £200 more I can get a return fare to Australia

Because our children cannot be taken out of school during term time any more a holiday during August for a family of four would cost £2119.92, what chance of person like me letting our villa

A good point and something to note for the future also good for my wife and me but not so good for holiday makers who have never been to Bulgaria before and of course Dobrich is about another 90k further on than Sikistra, but

Try EasyJet to Sofia, then onward with Air.Bg to either Varna or Burgas - or Ryanair Stansted to Plovdiv.

Wizzair

14th - 21st August, Luton to Varna return is coming up at £443.00 (Outrageous)

I have found an alternative route for five guests going out to our villa on those dates
Luton to Constanta, good flight times £139.00 plus extras (baggage etc) £172.00

The price quoted for the taxi transfer as of today is 180 euro return.
180 euro at today's rate would be 1.32 euro to £1.00 = £136.36
so add just over £27.00 pp return to the flight prices and you have got from the airport to our villa door for under £200.00

Taxi time from Constanta to Varna is 0ne and half hours and Dobrich one and quarter hours

Just found out Ryanair fly to Bucharest so another options and much cheaper too.  I booked our flights with Wizzair to Bucharest a few months ago and we both fly for £35 total yes unbelievable eh!  booked the hotel across the way at £19 and a taxi for £56 total paid flights, accommodaton and taxi buharest to silistra  £110.   Bucharest is only 2 hours from Silistra once you cross the dabube that is..

That is an excellent price for the time of the year. If you had booked 14 - 21 August, the same time as our guests the fare would have been £217 each, and that is just bums on seats

Isn't Plovdiv closer to Dobrich than Bucharest? Just a thought.

Plovdiv is 9 and 1/2 hour from Silistra - Silistra is 2 hrs from Bucharest and Dobrich is 1 and 1/2 from Silistra.
