You can obtain your medical records from your relevant health authority in the UK. All I had to do was supply a written request sent by email and they were sent to me.
Dr Samra does keep printed details of everytime you visit him. Eventually all the records will be accessible by any health care professional that you have to deal with. But at the moment your care is controlled by your family GP.
Getting registered with the Bulgarian Health authority is easy and quick took around one week
and because I have my E121 I am entitled to treatment at the same cost as a Bulgarian and all costs are met by DWP.

Hi Starlite the E121 is only available to certain people read the following from the department of work and pensions

Who can use form E121

Form E121 is available to people claiming the UK state pension or those claiming any of the following benefits abroad: Incapacity Benefit‚ Severe Disablement Allowance‚ Bereavement benefits or Widow’s benefits. It should be noted that if you lose these benefits and are not claiming a state pension then your E121 will be withdrawn.

The E121 also entitles members of your family who depend on and live with you to health care. Who is classed as a dependant relative is determined by the country in which you reside.

In addition‚ you may be entitled to some health cover if you receive Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit‚ Disability Living Allowance‚ Attendance Allowance‚ Carer’s Allowance or Working Tax Credit in another EEA country. For further information‚ you should contact the DWP.

Starlite found this for you as well

Living abroad
If you move away from the UK permanently, you will no longer be entitled to medical treatment under normal NHS rules. You will also no longer be entitled to use your UK-issued EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) to get healthcare abroad.

However, if you receive a UK state pension or long-term incapacity benefit, you may be entitled to state healthcare paid for by the UK.

No Starlite you still have to pay your medicine costs as you would do in the the UK. it's only treatment that they pay for.
As far as i am aware you pay for all medicines obtained in BG however I know that my neighbour get's various tablets for her elderly parents and she doesn't pay anything so perhaps the OAP do get an allowance of some description.
I agree the situation with medical things over here is strange to say the least.

mmmm thanks jenny, but it seems to me, they will pay somethings but not all things, in the eu all things are supposed to be equal. if you have paid fully into the system then you should recieve the same entitlement as the uk, but does not look like it.
