Well the poster have finally gone up to advertise the motocross competition that is being held in our village this coming weekend, 16th. It used to be on a Saturday and Sunday but only a Sunday this year. Saturday they have some sort of concert, but not much info on this yet.

I know throughout the summer, the motocross is held at different venues, Hisar and Slatina included, but not sure where to find the schedule.

May i ask where is your village?

Vasil Levski, near Karlovo, North of Plovdiv.

I think this sort of competition tours many villages all through Bulgaria, but don't quote me on that!!

If anyone on here goes it would be good to see some pics and get some feedback

This is a good 2 hours or so drive from your place.

It starts at about 10am, but most are there warming up from about 8 or 9. First off are the kids, whizzing round on their little motocross bikes! Then the comp goes up in age groups. Competition normally finishes at 2 or 3pm.

There's normally a kids area down near the river with boucy castle and there's usually a few selling kebapche, etc.

There's a small chance of rain, so keeping an eye on forecast, so far, Sunday looks great. Fingers crossed!

Well we wont be able to go this weekend. A friend/client got robbed sometime last week so she has coming over for a weekend so we can tidy up and sort out more paperwork.

Thanks Chris. Chech spent all last Sunday with the police. Turns out that around the same time, our neighbour opposite our new house had his garage broken in to and loads of tools taken. Hope they catch the little buggers!!
