| I was told ages ago, that you also need a letter of authorisation to drive you own company car as a friend was asked for one over a year ago when stoped. Maybe this is one for the lawyer on this site [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I would think that if the is a requirement then the letter would need to be notarised in both languages otherwise it's worthless ? |

| When driving you must always carry all documents. This also means that you carry a small card which is a copy of the large registration document.
Police and Full Insurance is also displayed by a sticker in the cars windscreen these are similar to the tax. You will also require the sticker for your MOT. |

| To be honest, the 'rules' seem to change in various regions. Some accept an English letter of authorisation, others insist on Bulgarian, others want in notarised and stamped by an official translation, etc., etc., blah blah blah.
The easiest and safest thing to do in ALL cases is to have the letter translated by an official translator in front of a Notary ... then you're covered in every case. |

| Bulgarian police are only allowed to carry a certain amount of money on them while at work, spot checks are carried out.
A letter with a stamp from a notary is the requirement, but I have been told that Husband or Wife can drive each others cars.
When you authorise another person to drive your car you are stating that you have confirmed that the person has a full driving licence and is allowed to drive the vehicle, if the police stop this person and his documents ie licence is not correct you will get fined as well? |
