A little computer stuff which some may find helpful.
I know that some of you, like me, use Mozilla Firefox, so you may find the following bits interesting. As background info...our beloved late Ashley suggested I swap to FF when I was having major problems with posting pics on the forum and to be fair, it instantly cured all the problems I was having.
Today I was advised of an update by FF. Sounded good, promised lots of stuff, so I installed it. Subsequent usage of the updated system revealed the following...
Connection to almost all websites is significantly faster
Personal info is promised to be much more secure
Private viewing of websites, leaving no history of your visit, is supposed to be untraceable....
But, it would seem to have a downside....those who run Win10 and some of the older systems like Win7 are reporting a loss of some of the bits that they had grown used to...some of their add ons don't work, their favourites list is now not available and a few other things which won't stop the world, but are annoying.
My advice if you receive this advisory email from Mozilla...read and reread it, but wait for a week or two before you update...let them iron out the bugs first.
