Hi guys

I have a question please.  We got rid of the second chimney in our villa as could only access it through the kitchen where the over is.  Now we are thinking of putting a small petchka upstairs as it appears there is a second chimney opening (hole) on the one chimney. It is situated directly above the one in the living room. So all we would need to get are the pipes and the fire.  My question is:  "Can we run two fires from the one chimney"  Down stairs will be on all day and we could put upstairs on at night so they might both be running for a few hours together.

It would depend a lot on the internal size of the chimney, especially at the top, although the second hole suggests that it was used with two fires in the past. If you are using the internal flue piping (approx 9" dia) on the bottom one already and it runs to the top of the chimney, provided there is enough space left to fit the second one, it should be ok....it all comes down to that internal dimension.

You will definately need the CO sensor/alarm upstairs to be working properly.
