Do we have any members who are into photography, as a passtime or hobby, as opposed to the point, shoot and forget style?

Once upon a time, long long ago, before the advent of the digital age photography was my primary hobby. That was in the age of celluloid, I used to do all my own processing and everything even though it was much more expensive than running a film cannister down to Boots, it was by and large much more satisfiying.

Is there a particular reason for this question or just a matter of interest?

Sorry Simon, I somehow missed your reply and question...

I've been interested in all things photographic for more than 60 years...tried my hand at developing, printing and enlarging, first with the old B+W stuff, with pretty reasonable results...graduated to the colour formats later on, with variable results. Over the years, I have kept up with progress and updated my equipment as and when required...sometimes the learning curve was pretty steep, but I managed somehow. The amount of gear I collected over all those years is staggering, but was becoming a burden, so I've been gradually getting rid of it. The main part of my collection went last week...a Bulgarian professional photographer phoned, came, inspected and took everything except my GoPro equipment.

To answer your question...Yes! I have a complete GoPro3B and almost every attachment which goes with it, plus some which weren't specifically designed for it, but work perfectly with it (including many bits which have never been used)...approximately 1500 pounds worth of gear.

Time for it to go.
