| Me neither, but considering I then had a extra 30 minutes in bed. not to mention being held up in some damn road works because no one put up a Road Works ahead sign any time gained was doubly wasted. Fortunately with being retired time does not really mean much, but the strange thing is, although I don't actually have wall clocks anywhere in the house I still end up having to alter about 8 or 10 items that have a clock built-in. And then there is always that one you missed and discover a couple of months later. |

So, the clocks went back therefore it now gets darker earlier and far more of us go and turn lights on at least one hour earlier, so where is the saving? Unlike it being lighter in the morning when most civil people are snug and warm in their beds so any actual benefit only benefits the cows and a few thousand farmers, actually I think it's even doubtful if it does benefit the farmers these days as most things are automated and to be honest it's still not that light in the early hours of the morning. |

So right you are Phil - we have all heard the stories of the poor farmers getting up at early hours to milk their cows. Well, we never asked them to be farmers did we? Why do millions of the rest of the population have to endure darker night's and spend more on lights and heating so the farmers get an extra hour in bed? : : |

| Lighter Mornings – Darker Nights Sunrise and sunset will be about one hour earlier on Sunday, October 25, 2015, than the day before, so there will be more light in the morning. |
