Well he finally got his finger from up his ass and sent Assad a message. I'm glad he has finally stood up for what is right. No amount of talking is going to stop Assad or Putin. They have been carrying out these kinds of acts for years and yet when they are on the receiving end of it suddenly its wrong. I would always rather countries find a diplomatic peaceful way forward but sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. The Russian Air Force has spent the last year bombing hospitals, women and children. And an appropriate Western response to the disgusting Sarin attack is a big deal? Time for Putin to step down. Russia badly needs a new leader if it is to regain respect in the world.

Something seems contrived about the whole air strike on Syria. Why would Trump give Putin advance warning? The situation was probably created to give the illusion that Trump is not in Putin's pocket. When Trump was elected he gave the impression he couldn't wait to lift Russian sanctions. Tillerson was given the highest civilian award by Putin. Too many contradictory factors.

Quite possible Stig? Trump needs to explain why he warned Russia hours in advance of the attack, in the full knowledge that they would then warn Assad, giving him time to move their assets out the area.

Has Trump totally lost it sending ships to north Korea , I thought he might be good for the USA, how wrong, this man is determined to start a war with someone and when he does everyone else will have to take sides. Who wins won't matter as the destruction it will cause, the tension, bad feeling and unrest means the peace will be lost forever. Trump needs someone to give him a good slap this is not a game. Right now, the only threat to world peace comes from Donald the lunatic clown. The sooner this conman-in-chief and his ilks are rid of from the White House, the better for all of us and ultimately for world peace. There are few things in this world that are deadlier and scarier than a US Navy aircraft carrier battle group. Unfortunately I doubt if this will intimidate Kim Jon Un. He has a cold war mindset and an isolated populace that believes that he is a God.

Russia has nothing to gain from backing Assad, Russia isn't attacking any other country, it's simply protecting Syria from rebel elements. America however has attacked so many countries it's hard to keep track. Knowing how Iraq and Libya turned out it's logical that Syria will go the same way if the country is overthrown by rebels. It's worth pointing out Bush launched 760 cruise missiles killing 500,000 since the Iraq war.

This sociopathic narcissistic is getting very sloppy with his lies and deceptions........ this whole Russian thing is obviously a scripted put on to divert the focus from the real nature of this administrations relationship with the Kremlin and Putin. You're 100% right scott Think it all games between US and Russia or more precise Putin and Trump to cloud over the election result and feeling that Trump and Putin had close ties. What better way to have that idea crushes than what's happening now?

Hang on...how many times did he blame the Obama administration for the state of the US-Russia relations and now his words...'it's at an all time low', he is just making it up as he goes along and then appears on TV to describe the beautiful chocolate cake he was eating with President Xi when he decided to launch 59 missiles at Iraq...he can't even remember which country he bombed. The Syrian "air-strikes" was a little bit of play-acting to pretend that we are not in Putin's pocket. This is after they were all warned it was going to happen and did relatively little damage. The planes were up and flying the next day. However, it did seem to do the trick. Everybody, including the media, is buying it!

Now that relations are at a "low point" watch how Tillerson and this administration lift the sanctions against Russia to allow for Exxon to drill. Everything Trump does it to fatten his wallet.
