First topic message reminder :

Just curious...does anyone else spend a few minutes every/some days completing the crossword which is featured in the portal section?
I usually have a coffee around 10.30 in the morning and tackle the daily puzzle while taking a break...takes my mind off tasks allocated for the rest of day.

After a few years of doing this, even though I'm almost always able to complete the puzzle without help, I've never been able to understand the scoring system...which is better: a high number or the lower one? eg. over the last week, my score has varied between
273 and 761, but I always seem to be able to complete the puzzle in around 12 and 15 minutes.

Does anyone know what is the better score?

Still don't understand the scoring system, but todays effort gave 942 in 12 minutes with no cheats.

Not too sure about that! I can't be too clever if I can't work out the scoring business!
