Real Estates Prices Fall by a thousand a Day

Real Estate properties sell at prices of between 1000 & 2000 euro lower in the beginning of the year. Only a week ago a three-room flat in one of Sofia suburbs cost 64,000 euro and is now offered for 62,970. The prices of cars have also collapsed .

If this is to be believed then its good news for buyers but bad news for those selling and those that already have bought

The newspapers publish articles/analyses which are specifically "
shaped"
to sell the media and maintain, or even increase, its rating. It is still trendy to write that the property prices are falling down by .... you name it.

It has been going on for the past several years that buyers would wake up in December, just before Christmas, and eventually sellers put the prices up in order to make few extra thousands on top. After the new year - prices of the unsold units would go back to the previous levels and thus finish the New Year's cycle.

Let alone the fact that cash buyers hurried to conclude deals before the amendment of the law for bank transfer only when buying property, which surely triggered some short-term price fluctuation.

we were told that when looking to buy here 8yrs ago ...and its true...one seller told us that as their winter foos stock was running low ...they had put their prices up to suppliment this ....

I'll just hang on and wait till their worth nothing then !
