| ....are there any in Bulgaria?
I'm looking for a place to get reclaimed timber and all sorts of related stuff like old door furniture, wooden mouldings, old barrels etc. If you've ever seen The Salvager on Discovery channel that's the kind of stuff I'm after. My house is in the Veliko Turnovo area but I'm willing to travel anywhere around Bulgaria for the right kind of stuff. |

| That would be great if there was one but nobody I ask locally has knowledge of one. My Bulgarian neighbours tend to point in the direction of the local dump. |

| Thanks everyone, Dobrich is not too far if it has what you need so I'll have a look. I love the idea of turning something recognisable like a piano into something completly different and yes, Le Salvager is where I first saw it. |

| To save you getting lost and for anyone else who is interested:- From Varna Airport Take the Road to Dobrich leading you up the steep climb to what is commonly referred to as 'the Golf Ball ' radar post. Continue straight on to Dobrich passing through -Stoja- As you approach Dobrich you will see the Large TV/Radio tower to your left (you are heading for that general area) As you get closer, passing car dealers, industrial units there is a LUKOIL garage on the left, and the road changes to a dual carriageway, as you enter the two lanes adopt the left lane On your left you will see used car lots and car service area's. the next junction you come to there is a sign -HIPPODROME- turn left there towards the Mast about 100mtrs or so on the left is what looks like a builders yard.....well I suppose it is really, as that is the Reclaim yard. Happy hunting Bill |
