Probably on thursday 30th October I am driving my doggy and all my possessions from northern England to my new small holding in Elena in the south.
I still have room to carry any goods , pets or people you want moving for a contribution towards my fuel bill and would especially like to hear from anyone that can drive, I am DREADING the journey.

As others have stated, take you time and stay alert it's not a race, infact the weather here at the mo is not so good, there's nothing to rush for. Good luck with your Journey and new life in Elena.
Ps, this plea also goes out to anyone to happens to be travelling into Burgas (airport) in the next couple of weeks, who has the space for a bottle in their luggage, or unbelievably may happen to have one in their drinks cabinet. An usual request i admit. Thanks in advance.

yes im here been driving the last 3 days, got a day off in austria then hungary and either Romania or Serbia. Ive had no internet access and the move happened a bit quicker than I was planning.
Im regretting bringing my big old camper cos I couldnt get breakdown recovery and gone down £350 of fuel already and still got 800 miles to go.
I suffer with anxiety and this trip is making me ill but ive made my bed so I willl lie in it.

You are doing well Wynnie and that is the main thing. Just take you tiime ther eis NO great rush, take deep breaths when you begin to feel stress pull over at the next rest area and have a break. It is very hard doing this on your own so small steps at a time would be good. Hopefully the camper will not cause you machanical problems - fuel, well yes you are looking a a bit more than the normal £400 or £500 but that is the be expected. If you run into any problems (please god you don't) than Ken Taggerty from V/T would be the man he is on facebook. I don't know him personally but he as come to the aid of a few people I know and they have said he is very good. but I will send you a private message with his facebook info just in case.

Enjoy the trip, treat it like short holiday stop off and picnic or take the dog for a walk give you time to relax as well. We are all rooting for you here. You are doing great Well done!! Now lets get you through the other half

when you get to your new home let all of us know how the trip went, I am very keen to find out just waiting to sort a few things out and then I will join you. I would like to point out that when I go on holiday to anywhere old or new I am only there for a few days and may be then a few more the next year, but Bulgaria for some reason has hit me and hit me hard, its like going back in time and then seeing something new odd really but the thing is I've been back 3 times this year already total stay 8 weeks bought a house, just need the car now and kids well they say I am nuts and I say well that's what you get with old age, so good luck winnie and enjoy your new home.

got a few things to sort and then who knows, hoping to spend more time there, the owner of the other house next door is always uping his money as he says english are rich, so i told the builder to increase the bid, then he upped it again and i said forget it, just ashame he did not do that in August as i could have used that money on my house, now we have to wait the winter out and then do the complete build without the other house so if he changes his mind he will have to look for another buyer.

hows the winter so far.

and winnie enjoy yourself, and if you have no use for your motorhome when your in, as long as its modern rent it out to visitors.

well I arrived at my new home last night after travelling for 7 days and passing through 7 countries and filling the fuel tank god knows how many times, I dar'nt add up.
I think I did the right thing buying the house but regretting bringing my camper over full of tat not fit for a charity shop but at least my dog Ozzy has got room to roam now and for the first time in his 10 years doesn't have to be chained up.
Anyway I have to get me bus back sometime in the spring cos it drags my vintage airstream catering trailer around the festival circuit all summer so if anyone wants a FREE van hire to go back to blighty giz a shout. Next job look into legal stuff, business and residency etc.
I've already seen a small improvement in my physical and mental health and hope is the start of me feeling lots better but I think I need a week on the wine now to get over the trip.
