Morning all lovely day here today sun s shining Well I had my first parcel posting to the you yesterday - Can honestly say will not be doing that again. I sorted out a box we used for our shoeboxes, it is brown and bigger than a shoebox about 12" square so just big enough to hold 20 crosiants inside. I packed them up, bought the brown paper as was told needed this. Put the To UK address on the top and the bottom and the From BG address on the side carefully wrapped it in the brown paper and stuck the labels on. Delighted with my efforts I took it to the post office and then it started.............Firstly they would not accept it because it was all wrapped up and it appears they have to look inside to check everything - so them gave it back I asked who then she said open. So I carefully stripped the tape off one side but the box itself had to come out so natrually the paper ripped but saved the address area. Then the tape had to come off the box and the boxes handed back to the clerk - she than took every single item out checked it and shook it then put them in a pile and handed it back to me to restore. Temper was getting the better of me so had to put it on the said and go outside for a few minutes. Came back in and put the item back in the box again. then moved over to the same counter only to be told go back 8 people ahead of me now, so took my box and went back. 15 minutes late there she was again, glring at me and said da - I could have gladly pasted her with the box but said nicely can I post this please. She took the box look inside and said no paper address. The box was brown and clear of writing so I handed her the address we wripped off I tried to even the edges but was taking some time so she indicted to give it to her and she cut them with a sissers and gave me the box and the address labels to stick on but I had no tape so had to ask her for this - she was not amused (Oh you have no idea how I wanted to stick the sellotape on her mouth for permanant smile ) Anyway got the take than she indicated I move aside and let other customers in. few minutes later boxed taped up and UK lable stuck on the top left and bg address on the bottom right. 3 people in the que now so I slipped in when last person moved she told me again go back. I am thinkiing all sorts of awful names to call her but picked up my box and back I went. wait was about 5 miins. Got to the counter and presented her with the box she tutted and said something to her co workers and then gave me the box back again as the lables were in the wrong place, should have BG address on top left and UK add bottome right - I took out my marker and another bit of paper to re write the addresse's gave them to her and woo hoo surprise she actually stuck them on her self - how good a postal worker is she Then she assumed I wanted them sighed for at the other end so she started to fill out a form too her a while and asked me to sign it. I asked why and she said to be signed for in UK - I thought is this girl stupid or what it bread for goodness sake why would I want to registar post that. I said no, not sign just marker - she was livid and I thought yessssssssssssssss you miserable mare got you. She weight it, said 21lev - i said yes and she stuck on the lables and the stamps. I paid her and said thank you so much have a nice day. She glared at me - so not made a frined today. Won't be sending any Christmas presents than so will warn the family This is the most stupid thing I have every heard of leaving the box open. That means you have to take everything with you to the post office. Or was this girl just being awkward wth me what do you think? : :

just to keep everybody informed the parcel turned up and was in good order and sorry to say the contents have nearly gone. everybody loved them, and looks like i might have to fly over more often as i dont want Bernie to go through this everytime, i mean she is so nice to me imagine what she would be like after a few parcels, and we do have to think of Dougie here, she is the best but i was married once and have seen the otherside and boy is it dark, so parcels will have to slow down, and i will have to go Ba business, this way i can carry an extra 23kg. any way thank you Bernie

Hi Guys Today I went to the postoffice to post the christmas cards and a parcel for Paddy. Well I was stunned, at the service. They usual lady was on the desk. She always smiles and says hello when she sees me even if she is serving someone else. I was no 3 in the que and happy to wait my turn, she was dealing with a lady sending a parcel then she gave her the labels to fill in and she beconed me to come forward, I went forward as I thougt she wanted to speak with me, but she asked for my parcel - I said no problem I will wait but she was not having that - she said somethiing to the lady behind me and the lady said nama problem.. So she carried on she took the stuff out of the thick plastic bag and found a big padded envenlope to put the crossiants in.She weighed them and she gave me two prices, one was 7lev the other was 12.50lve. Then she explained if I took one crussiant off I would save 5 leva so she took it out and posted the parcel. Then she weighed all the cards and stamped them all. I was there for maybe 10 minutes in total, and no hassle compare to last tiime. She was very pleasent and helpful, she told me where to put the address on the envelope and even offered me the sellotape, she filled in the postal labels as to what was in the parcel and asked me to sign and then I paid. Yes I was totally shocked considering the experience we had last time.. So I am a happy bunny now only a little embarrassed at jumping the que. She also told me there is mail at the post office in the village for me. Paddy a parcel is on it way..... Happy Christmas xx

thanks Bernie, I am looking forward to them, but what you did forget was it is coming up to Christmas, she will be like the bin men over here like let me get that for you, you know the drill. best thing to get your own back on her is to not go in till after Christmas and see if she has really changed or was it a dream. any way thank you and looking forward to them will not say any thing to the kids and hopefully catch the parcel before they know about it.
