| Last year we could not go on the balcony because we would be eaten alive with mozzies or stung to death by the wasps and then we had millions of ladiybirds decend on us (a freak occurance here in BG) the little crittes also could give a nasty bite too. It was a shame as it would be great to eat outside and sit out in the evenings. So this year Dougie has prepared us for just that. He has made net screens all around the balcony so nothing can get in and the far end he will make mesh door. It will be cool in the day and warmer at night. Will see how they hold up. You can see Dougie has also filled in the broken ceiling and has groved the ceiling now so the water should just run off. Will get around to painting in due course. Things are moving along little by little.
This is the outsde silly me forgot to stain the wood. Ah well, will remember for around the decking, maybe the weather will discolour the wood.
Underneath the balcony was dead space so Douige build a wall all aorund it and got two metal doors made now he can use this as a storage or wood sheds. Again will paint in due course. |

| Took this from Facebook: I tried this today and you know I am amazed it works!!!! has been working for the last hour or so.
We went with friends to a restaurant on Sunday for lunch and sat in the patio section beside the store. We happened to notice zip lock baggies pinned to a post and a wall. The bags were half filled with ...water, each contained 4 pennies, and they were zipped shut. Naturally we were curious! The owner told us that these baggies kept the flies away! So naturally we were even more curious! We actually watched some flies come in the open window, stand around on the window sill, and then fly out again. And there were no flies in the eating area! |

So we can now safely say Berni, There are NO flies on you : : |

Late evening it's good alhought a little scary as it's pitch black and you can't see a thing. I don't ilike i very much than but once the street light gets fixed maybe it will be better. Npper is about so he would alert me if anythiing stirs in the nght.... Nipper is not amused having to stay outside the nets now Dougie has also sorted his own little retreat area below. Tryiing to find the gazebo sides, we brough 4 gazeos with us in 2007 two we can find the other two we can' so assume the side are with them. They probably went to the Dimcho with the other Gazebo's for some event or another but we will keep looking if we can't find them, then we will make net ones. We don't want the old boy getting bitten now do we : : Yes avatar changed on here but not on the website.............. |
