Hoovers AHHHHHHH Empty

What is it with bloody hoovers, they are supposed to make housework easier. What a load of rubbish. You spend half your life unblocking the bloody thing, or trying to get a rubber belt back on it that is only have the size it should be, this is of cause after you have sat on the floor and unscrewed the thing for about an hour. Once its all unblocked and rebelted, the bloody thing is so powerfull that it has a mind of its own where it is going to go and what it is going to suck up. Having just done all of the above YET AGAIN mine decided that it was going to attack the cats food bowl and sucked up all the meat out of the poor cats bowl, (luckly the cat was not by the bowl otherwise it would have been up it to) now I have got to bloody unblock the thing again as its full of jellied cat meat. I know what you mean Fetch we have gone though two hoovers since being in BG It must be the constant use with so much dust, now we can sweep the laminate 5 or 6 timess a day and still there is dust to collect. i have a new hoover now so see how long that will last.

Good luck best way is empty the bag hopefully everything will have gone in there then put the hoses in the bath our under the shower.

We bought a pull along vacuum here not long after we arrived. (There's probably a technical name for them but I can't remember!) The hose kept on breaking, and I didn't like any others that I saw for sale here. So, I ordered a "
Henry"
from amazon uk. He arrived within a week, trackable all the way, and the postage was only £12.50. He's marvellous, and I wouldn't be without him! g

We are currently looking at buying a new vacuum cleaner, at one store in VT they have 250 vacuums and only one is an upright!! So we are having a look on Ebay which gives a few surprises, surprise one is that Panasonic cleaners are rarely on Ebay because they never go wrong, surprise two is that out of all the Dysons for sale, nearly half of them are for spares because they have stopped working. So not a good advert for Dyson.

You are right about Dysons, Itchy. I've had a couple in the past and would never have another one.

When I repaired and sold vacuum cleaners my rule of thumb was Hoover for uprights and Electrolux for cylinders, and yes, out of all the Panasonic's in the 10 years I had a shop not one ever came back for a repair. (except for replacing the roller)

The main problem with paper bag type cleaners is people not replacing the bag often enough and because the paper gets gets blocked they will lose their suction, also if your cleaner uses the cloth type bag, try turning it inside-out and either high pressure blow, or vacuum it out, you turn it inside-out to push/pull the dirt back the way it was coming from because it can't get through the cloth bag, so sucking it from the outside is not very effective.
(If you don't have a second cleaner, then don't worry, just do it outside with the cover removed when you are also standing up-wind)

And for any tight people, don't forget to change the filter, quite often filter might look clean(ish) but is in fact blocked, and a blocked filter is usually the main problem of all vacuum problems, and under no circumstances use a plastic bag or even a normal paper bag because you ran out of the 'special' vacuum bags. (because they don't work)

Does this dustiness apply to everywhere in Bulgaria? Does anyone live in a spot that does not have this problem?
