First topic message reminder :

Hi Folks,
As someone who used the flights to Varna from Newcastle three times last year I thought I'd see what the prices are for 2014.

Sadly they are showing no flights at all this year, only flights to Bourgas.
Whether the airport have pulled this destination or whether they will be added later, no one seems to know.

Our next nearest airport will be Edinburgh but they too fail to visit Varna, and to make matters worse, as I need to get to Popovo or Ruse I cannot get to Bucharest locally either now.

Can anyone shed any light on this or offer ideas from Newcastle please?

Wizz air now fly Doncaster/Sheffield to Bucharest and at £25 eacy way.

Yes, I could only find Stansted-Plovdiv with Ryanair as well, nothing to Sofia.

Ryanair only fly to Plovdiv not Sofia.

Fletch that's what I'm seeing too.
Can't see any Ryanair flights from anywhere to Sofia.

This time we flew with Easyjet from Stansted to Sofia than a bus to Silistra was a great flight and only took about 2.5 hous but the bus to Silistra took 7.5 hours ::

It's easyjet for me from now on too. Nothing else comes close to matching its prices during high season.
