| Hi As promised here is the latest from PS Art Studios, a painting of our Shumen cockerel 'Sevi'. As previously mentioned the Shumen breed of chicken is one of only two native breeds of Bulgarian poultry and were close to extinction 3 years ago when only around a 100 remained. Through concerted efforts the breed has been saved from extinction and a new blue colour variation is being developed (originally only in black form). Sevi is of the blue variety and is around 87.5% pure Shumen as the Australop was used to bring the blue colour gene into the breed and it is now being bred back out. I have spent a few days on it and at one stage it had a background to it which I was not happy about so it was removed. I have been told I am a little over critical of it as I am not 100% pleased with it, but that is painting for you. Regards Mr Eq (Dave) |

| Yet more great work Dave ... Bravo By the way, are you using a scanner or camera to digitize them? It's just that when I checked the RGB channels in Photoshop, there was some really 'soaked' out areas of the levels. When I evened them up, the picture changed totally. Not sure if this is nearer to the original painting or not... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| This may be a weensie bit off the original topic, but I really admire people who can draw or paint and I just wanted to share a little bit of 'sidewalk' art, done with chalk..........
