Car documents is green bit enough if pulled? Empty

Ive just bought a van, been waiting for ownership documents that havent come yet , Ive got the green bit labled v5C2 new keeper , do you think this is enough to drive the van over to Bulgaria ?
Ive been over loads in the car and only been asked once for any documents for it....

I was thinking that people who buy at auctions over here must only have this bit when driving back to BG and ive met a few of them driving to Germany, Romania and Bulgaria in cars from the auctions in UK?

mmm not sure this is enough on its own. is the v5c/2 given to you by the van owner or the dvla. it should be given to you around 2/4 weeks after you have bought the van. the owner has to submit the document v5c/2 to the dvla and then the dvla issue the new d5c/2 to yourself. that must happen as for other documentation, hopefully other members may be more clued up than myself. g

I bought the van about 6 weeks ago, the guy said he sent off the documents ( the one time Ive managed to find him since then ) ,the DVLA havent sent anything, Ive just got the green bit you get when buying it
I could myself send that back, it takes about 4 to 6 weeks to get new documents, but then I have nothing for the van

Ive been told by someone local I need to ask the AA for a VE103 form , whatever that is , Ive searched and found nothing on the AA website, but its something given to you to prove you should have the van if rented or lent to you

If you can't contact DVLA direct with your question, why not ask your insurance company as I'd bet they would tell you straight away if it's legal to drive anywhere.

The V5c is a receipt for your V5 if you like and if the V5 is with the DVLA there is no problem with the UK police because they will check the change of ownership with the DVLA straight away the same with an MOT and insurance.Whether any foriegn police force will have a clue what the difference is I doubt as they have no way of checking as they are not on our system in the UK.I have been pulled over by the Police in Dobrich and all the Police officer was interested in was my Vignette and paid no attension to any other document proberbly because he couldn't read the Latin alphebet. So I shouldn't worry to much so long as you have valid insurance.

if you are visiting BG then returning to England I don't feel you have a problem as long as you keep your receipt with you for the purchase along with the documents you have but ig you are moving to BG then you will need the documents from DVLA to prove what the van is etc and ownership so you can register it at KAT.for Bulgarian plates phone DVLA and tell them you need the new documents now they can do a rush job when they want to. by the way as we have just learned if the van is over 10 years old and you are bringing it to BG it will have 2 MOTs a year
enjoy your journey be safe

Ive been driving back and forwards in the car every month, the plan now is to take some things with me every trip in the van , I may eventually register this over in BG if I ever get the documents, but I might just get shut of it and register something bigger over there.

Im undecided as to take the van, or the car this time, the car engine is out of it at the minute.... So its put the engine back in , get MOT and go in the car or drive the van , im not leaving for about a week and a half , so could fix the car ,

But maybe easier to risk the van....not sure
