Here is one to get our teeth into, so who better to start the ball rolling than Scottish Mod (scunnered). I ask, should 16 and 17 year old's be allowed to vote, half of them are still at school and wet behind the ears, what will happen to the people who work each side of the border, will the Union Jack flag loose it's blue cross. will they have all British currency or Euro's or what. I have been married to a fine Scottish lady for 47 years and she is proud to be British but likes to be remembered has having been born and brought up in Scotland.
She will vote NO but remain good :Referendum 1931734156:

Salmond wants 16 and 17 year olds to have the vote because he thinks they will vote for independence.
They probably will because of all the hype over Scottish gas, oil, William Wallace et al.
Personally, although I won't get the vote, I would vote NO.
It will be a disaster for Scotland in the long run. They get more money per head from
the government at the moment, free prescriptions and free personal care if in a home.
Where will all this money come from if Scotland gains independence? The oil and gas won't last
forever.
I am extremely proud to be Scottish, but do wonder what will happen.
It's not all bagpipes and haggis!! :Kilt:

Can't comment on this but Britain won't be a 'United Kingdom' anymore if the vote is 'yes'. However, it should have been United Queendom shouldn't it in these PC times??? Referendum 2381841692
