| Right back to the propane gas question.
Propane is an expensive way of heating but you must also realize that with all gas systems because of the amount of safety devices they are pron to stop working and need constant re-setting. There is so much venting required that at any stage of the start up process the boiler can lock out. Gas detectors are a must and so on. Stick with the wood. And you were charged over the top. |

| I feel better now as out of interest I had a look on the net to see how much it would cost to run my petchka in the UK. Sit down for this! For a crate measuring 1.2 x 1.0 x 1.1 =1.3 cubic metres will cost £135.00! I feel better now looking at that! |

| Yes, wood does sound like a much better option. We used to have a cottage in the Welsh hills that was freezing cold and had a waterfall inside the house. However, thanks to a grant we were able to install cavity walls etc. and most importantly, a new fire with a backboiler. By far, this was the best heating system I (Zhany) have had, I can't say about Steve as he is busy doing other things atm but I'm sure he would agree with me. |

As they will come in big chunks which have to be split and cut down into manageable sizes. All this costs extra and above the cost of the logs. |

| Hi Berni Like everything else, get a quote, I have had logs ordered through our Mayor and got quotes from him for , just logs, half cut or quarter split, then checked with local wood yard, then make your choice.

| We order our wood through the mayor and he only charges 5 Leva per cubic metre to cut and chop. It's well worth the extra because our chain saw would use a lot of petrol to get through a cube of it, of course the labour of handling it all is also a saving for the limbs! : : |
