I sometimes wonder if I am one of the few on this forum over 70. I know Willowsend is another but who else and particularly those who live here permanently? I know ladies don't usually like mentioning their age, but age seems one of the things which colour our posts. I have come to the conclusion that most members are between 40 and 55 with still plenty of ideas on living and working in Bulgaria. I know when I was that age I was still working and playing just as I had always done with never a thought of what it would be like to be in my 70s. Suddenly it seems to have caught up with me and some of my views are a little more considered (well, most of the time!) Certainly physically I find some activities very tiring (no jokes please!!) Here is a small list:
No smoking and little or no drinking
Much less gardening
No socialising except with my choir ladies
Little desire to join in any expat activities like carboots, quizzes, get togethers, etc although I guess I never was much interested in these activities.
Much shorter dog walks most of the time.
I do look at my photos (yes, in albums which is much more interesting than looking at a computer screen) and I wonder at all the fun I have had over the years and reminisce how quickly it all seems to have disappeared.
Just out of interest, I wondered if any other members have found how their lives have changed living in Bulgaria and aging. That is, if you have lived here for a few years and not just arrived.
