| I thought now I live here full time I should have a go at growing my own vegetables. So my husband fenced off a section of garden for me to keep my dogs out. Over winter I dug the ground over several times, because it hadn't been used for a long time. My daughter and I planted our seeds and I researched weed control and pest control. We religiously weeded and sprayed our lovely growing plants. Then today we took our visitors to sunny beach for the day. on our return I discovered that some very large pests had distroyed my vegeatable patch and eaten every thing in sight. What were they you might wonder. Well i'll give you a clue, theres six of them, they have four legs each, A long mane and tail and can jump a 5ft fence..... Yes you guessed it I now have six very full happy horses after a full veg patch, two apple trees and a few cherries. |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] sorry i should not laugh, you have spent time and energy tending your vegatables and nurturing them to produce, but the visual scene of 6 horses eating your crop is beyond understanding, yes, rabbits, bugs, locust, etc, but horses, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. sorry, at least they have had their 5 vitamins today. you will have to start again and reinforce the boundary. | Goodness, what a lot of hard work wasted. At least the horses were happy! Our donkey ate all our watermelons and honeydew ones last year. Won't happen again! |

| My wife always had horses .... I never planted a thing that was vaguely edible (even in areas I considered 'safe').
Crafty things they are! |
