now that the weather seems to be improving, its time for some spring cleaning, i like to get the quilts done, but in bulgaria i cannot find a launderette or dry cleaners to do them Away with the cobwebs 3998065313 . so it is hands to the deck and a bit old fashioned rub a dub in the bath. cream verticul blinds.

if you have cream vertical blinds, dont put them in the washer as they tend to crease permanently and fray on the edges. unhook the blinds with weights and chains in place. put them in the bath of liquid soap and a touch of bleach and soak for 2 hours. this lifts the marks the flies make on them. hang them over something to drip for an hour and rehang. they really do come clean and look as good as you first bought them.
Only cream blinds not the coloured ones. g

how do you clean the grout between the floor tiles, the grout is looking dim and in need of a clean. I am not sure what cleaning product to use.. T

thanks varngirl, i will give that a try. g

Scatter rugs.

If you have scatter rugs, they too get a bashing over the winter. take them to the local garage for a pressure wash, only costs a few lev and they really do come up clean. g
anyone any more tips, add them here. g

Yes we have tiles in our house here in the UK the whole ground floor - I use a steamer for cleaning the floors but also have a long handle scrubbing brush that I use with a solutions of hot water and bleach for the grout. I had white grout on the first set of tiles we laid in the hallway, but the tiles were white with black tacos (little square in the corners) the glare from the white tiles almost blinded me and keeping the group white was a nightmare so needless to say, up they came and we now have speckled tiles with light grey grout.

QUILTS
Another things I do is as the duvet is too big for the washing machine and the laundrette wanted to charge me £30 to wash so I put it on the line spray both sides with a solutions of washing liquid and hot water, then use my pressure washer cleaning sections at a time then turn over and do same on other side. Leave on the line to dry.

BLINDS
Thanks for the time on the blinds I did put them in the washing machine and had to iron the creased out - too me ages.
