- Thank you everyone for you responses. and its good to get an over view of what you all think even if its negative or positive. It doesn't matter what anyone says about this company good or bad and I see that most isn't so good but I will do more research on them, and thank you also to those who have recommended other companies who maybe selling the same property with perhaps less risk. Going back to Tony if this company is as you say then why do they pretend to be bigger than they actually are? what I am saying is they say they have all those staff on their website but the fact of the matter is they don't so why would an honest company do this?
I would say that your posting is an honest appraisal of the way you see it, and your attention is drawn to the fact that they appear to pretend to be bigger than they actually are. Could this be due to the downturn in the market and they haven't updated their information/website I think it is fair to say, you will never get 100% satisfaction from who ever you deal with, somebody will alway's find a grouse of some sort If it were me I would make an appointment with them and suss them out, then draw my own conclusions as to what my gut feeling's were |

| I would normally agree with you Brian but they do have an IT Manager Deyan Zlatev according to the site? but having said that the site hasn't changed much at all as far as staff and all the hype is concerned over the past 2 years at least. |

| Stigofthedump I have just spoken to an ex staff member from BRE who is still showing on the site as one of their people he has told me that there is only Karen and her partner full time and maybe 1 other who takes prospective buyers to view but there isn't anything like what their site says and they don't have a fleet of cars either so what does that tell you about them ?????????? Can I add that its a good point raised by Blink with an IT manager why not update your site for such a long time. My advice is to go to another agent there are plenty around and some of what has already been posted here are good but as Brian has said you will never get a 100% picture of any of them. |

| You will always get some that are happy and those that are not with any company. Looking at the above it looks a little bleak so try some other agent and again ask as many possible questions as you can, I agree going to the office may throw up some light but its no guarantee of what you will receive as we have seen with some big companies in the past it could be just a stage scene. |

| Thank you very much for all the replies I think with all that has been said here and in other places this is one to avoid. I will look elsewhere. |

| Having decided that investment in Bulgarian property was for me, I soon realised that the current problem most buyers face is which agent to use, as there seems to be so many of them popping up everywhere. Anyone can be a part of the real estate game in Bulgaria, as there is no real training or legal requirements to set up an estate agency practice as in the UK. One just needs to open an Internet site, partner with a Bulgarian estate agent, and bingo you’re in business. Some of these agent could well have a criminal background but there isn't any safeguards to protect us from that possibility. Unfortunately in Bulgaria so long as you have enough money you can do most things with no questions asked and no safeguards to protect the consumer. We all know that these days whatever you see on some internet sites isn't a true picture of actually what is? and some of these people are very good at what they do and are able to hide their tracks very well and even come up with spurious recommendations so it will always be a mine field in Bulgaria until there is some regulation and laws put in place to stop any Tom Dick or Harry passing themselves off as an estate agent or other.
The best advice I can give is to locate a UK agent that specialises in the area you intend to invest and you will have the legal protection that Bulgaria doesn't offer, after all its not like taking back faulty goods to Argos is it. |

| Good solid advice Gina. It seems to me that people come to Bulgaria with no income and no idea about what they are going to do in order to survive so they suddenly become cooks, retailers and estate agents without any qualifications at all it really does make me sick that they think that being in a foreign country gives them license to do as they please and break the law in order to achieve their goals and never thinking of the trail of destruction they may leave behind them. I personally think anyone buying from a so called estate agent that can not provide any certificates issued in the UK or other acceptable country to prove that they have undergone the required exams etc then they should only be treated as amatures with very little idea. Sorry if some of you find my post offensive but this is how I see it . |

| Hi Stig of the Dump,
I bought 5 years ago with Bulgarian real estate online when Phil owned the company I have since had all manner of help from them in just daily dealings that I could not even hope to achieve by myself. I have since sold that property I bought 5 years ago through Bulgarian real estate online and bought again with Karen and Nick @ bulgarian real estate online.I can't begin to tell you how great they have been since they took over there and of course their staff. Which i have to say they have, that judgement seems a bit strange to me. My suggestion is you should meet with them before making any judgements and see for yourself. Some people on here judge before even ever having met so trust yourself too. |

| Its amazing how every time BRE comes up on this forum that from out of the air appears people who come on here to recommend them? rather strange I would say. I see you haven't even had the decency to introduce yourself before posting here. I can not understand why Karen hasn't posted herself since she has been on here today but I assume she must have felt it better to get someone to post on her behalf? Look at it from the forums point of view and you will see that it looks as though you have been enlisted for the sole purpose of a recommendation because the only possible way you would know this topic was here is if you were told. Sorry if you don't like my response its nothing personal but just how I see it. |
