Having just gone through all the machinations of personal and car registrations, a group of us got to talking and wondered what happens if you decide to move withing Bulgaria but to a different Province. Would you have to go through it all again? Does anyone know the answer on this as we may concider it in the future as we only rent and might like a change of scene in a year or so.

you will have to re register the car as it has to have local plates im afraid.

You will also need to register for all local taxes and if you do buy another house you will need to register that locally too.

I know if a Bulgarian moves to a different municipality they have to register themselves there.......

All persons who have acquired in Varna current address or location of Varna Municipality in the period from September 1, 2010 to January 31, 2011, to appear in municipal or regional administrations and municipalities to confirm your current address. This is because the amendment to the Law on Civil Registration (ZGR), adopted by parliament on May 20, 2011. The Act provides for two months to confirm the registration of this address. That period expires on July 20, 2011. According to § 78 para. (2) and para.
