Book Online To Save On Bansko Ski Passes

Bansko Tourist Information is offering savings on lift tickets when booked online and in advance on their Web site.

The Bankso Web site provides an advanced booking service with prices at €8-10 cheaper than purchasing them in-resort. Pre-booked ski passes can be collected from the company's office in Bankso the evening before they are to be used.

Bansko Tourist Information offer an adult six-day pass for the discounted price of €136 per person, or a child six-day pass for €82. For longer stays, a 13-day adult pass costs €260 and a child 13-day pass is €158.

Bansko has been the big European boom resort of this century. The unspoilt traditional Bulgarian village was reborn with a huge investment in modern lifts and hotels that, along with heavy investment by property buyers, brought the resort rapidly to international prominence.

Bansko has over 56 kilometres of marked ski runs with about 80 percent of the slopes covered by snow cannons, all well groomed by a fleet of a dozen machines.

The main ski runs in Bansko have been extensively renovated and the ski run 'Stara Pista' is floodlit for night skiing. The Shiligarnika, Stara Pista, Todorka and Plato ski runs are suitable for beginners and intermediaries, and the Banderiza and Ctzurna mogila ski runs may be used by experts. Experts have the additional challenge of skiing the runs where Bulgaria's Olympic champions train.

Bankso is located in the world heritage site of the Pirin mountains and National Park.

Perhaps its because they are expecting a poor season or as they have in the past very little snow [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
