Parental Rights Issue Delays Bulgarian Flight to London
A late Saturday flight from the Bulgarian city of Burgas to London was delayed due to a parental rights issue.
The Bulgarian citizen Borislav Kalchev tried to stop the flight with which his 10 year-old daughter Gabriela was traveling to the uk after an English court recently gave the parental rights to her mother. However, the court in Kalchev's native town of Aytos has issued a 100-meter restraining order, abolishing the mother to contact Gabriela.
Supporters of the father's cause built a human fence on the Burgas airport.
Kalchev lived 10 years with the mother in the UK, but the two parents have never wed. Gabriela was born in England, but has a Bulgarian citizenship. The father returned to Bulgaria with her several years ago.
