Foggy Weather Delays, Cancels Flights of Sofia Airport
Foggy weather causes delays and cancellations of flights to and from the Sofia International Airport.
Lufthansa’s Flights from Sofia to Vienna and Frankfurt have been cancelled. The morning flights of Bulgaria Air to Amsterdam and London have been performed from the airport in the city of Plovdiv, instead of Sofia.
The Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency has announced that the fog has reduced the visibility to 100 meters in the regions of the cities of Yambol, Kyustendil, Karnobat, Harmanli and Svilengrad.
The visibility is reduced to 30 meters in the regions of the village of Gorni Bogorov, near Sofia, and to 50 meters in the region of the city of Pernik.
The Road Infrastructure Agency has warned that the roads are partially wet and there are icy sectors. The Trakiya Highway also has wet sectors near the city of Burgas.
