58 children in the care home for medical care

At the home for children in Pazardjik the children are up to three years of age. we were told by Velichka Encheva, director of the House of medical care, The children have a different problems, Some of them are entered into the adoption. Others are temporarily housed in the House, there is an alternative and that is they could be returned to their biological families as well as for adoption or into foster families. Each child arrives at the House with an order issued by social services or after the court decision. these are children whose parents can not care for, for different reasons. Some are in poor mental condition, and some parents serving a custodial sentence. This means that we temporarily perform parental functions for these children.

Gosh this is concerning - I hope I have interpreted this wrong Angel Are they saying that they will put perfectly healthy children (who have difficulty with learning abilities through lack of stimulation or schooling) into the disability centres/temp housing because they have nowhere else to put them. 58 children in the care home for medical care 3135333095

The number of children in need of some form of social care, according to Dr. Tanya Stoykova

Silistra. It is very important model in which we will be the restructuring the social institutions. said Dr. Tanya Stoykova, director of home for medical care for children in Silistra. According to her, putting children in institutions is correct, but we must find the right formula and the most appropriate decision for every home, taking into account the specific peculiarities and specific users of social services. In the regional strategy for social services in Silistra this type of service is proposed by the House to restructure the Centre for family-type accommodation for children, parents who can not immediately offer care of them. "
Another service that will be offered is the centre of family homes for handicapped children. These are children who are in very poor condition, leaving care or adoption until they find a foster family or adoptive parents or health until they can not be deprived from the environment, which has 24 - hour surveillance, "
said Dr. Dr. Tanya Stoykova. In his words, this increases morbidity among children and it is a very worrying fact. Growing numbers of children in need of some type of social care and special care, said Dr. Stoykova. "
My impression is that the increasing numbers of children with disabilities who need special care, is growing due to lack of income and financial ability, there are increases in children born to mothers without health culture and knowledge and opportunities for childcare in this direction and seek alternatives, "
said Dr. Stoykova. She expressed the opinion that human resource is now working at home can be used in the process of restructuring them. "
They can include many nurses and therapists. These people have worked for years with children and have worked with the families of these children, we know the problems. We are accustomed to working with these families and to achieve results with them, "
said Dr. Stoykova.

Thank you Ashley for this but I'm not sure if I understand it correctly 58 children in the care home for medical care 3998065313 are they saying that the children will be split into different homes? or that they will be putting them all together? its a bit difficult. I think Ashley you do a great job but maybe some of this translation isn't very good? but unless we have our own translator on the forum I'm not sure how to sort this one but I would be interested to know what other thoughts are about this the above post 58 children in the care home for medical care 3998065313

It is a difficult one to work out I see what your saying but since Berni is doing things with Silistra then maybe she might know more or perhaps can find out ?

s s

Ah I see now what they are doing, reading between the line. I know Dr. Tanya Stoykova she is the director of our baby orphanage in Silistra. There has been a big shake up in all the orphanages, which is good news. I think they are preparing for all the baby orphanages that will be closing over the next 15 years. Their top priority is to home the children. Those children that do not have disabilities, the social workers etc will try to keep them with their own families and support them any way they can, much the same as the UK really However, I still believe there will be special needs and those that need medical care will be in a medical care homes, which is Dr Stoykova orphanage. There family and friends can drop in - without permission. The children with no parents or family or abandon children will also stay at these medical centres until they find a foster home or they are adopted. So yes Sal they will be mixed together. I have email Tanya to see if she can give me a clearer understanding.

In Dr Stoykova orphanage there are two babies with disabilities. The two children, although they cannot physically or mentally participate in any of the activities they can see and hear and I am sure that is much better than being stuck in a quite room.

It is good that Silistra is leading the way forward but like everyone else I am not in favour of grouping children with disabilities with slow learners but as Dr Stoykova says ' we must find the right formula and the most appropriate decision for every home, taking into account the specific peculiarities and specific users of social services. I don't know the reasoning behind this, so until I know different I can only make assumptions.

I will keep you updated if I can.

Thankyou Berni that's a relief to know I was reading this and getting not only confused but also a little tearful at what I thought it was saying, lets hope that they get it right and do these children some justice and that they get the care they need T
