Just a short post wondering whether anyone would be interested in taking part in a seed swap programme here in Bulgaria?

The idea is simple. If you have spare or saved seeds that you'd be willing to share post on here and if anyone is interested in growing what you have you can arrange to send via the postal system and exchange addresses (via PM).

I have some pumpkin seeds saved if anyone would like some sent. I'm not sure of the variety as they were taken from a pumpkin given to me by a friend. It was a rather large, orange pumpkin and weighed in at 25 kilos!

What I'd really like are chilli seeds, any variety, the hotter the better T

I purchased about 9 varieties of chillies.Planted them but they were rubbish heat wise. They were all supposed to be really hot but all turned out rubbish. You can purchase seeds off e-bay.Many suppliers have one postage regardless of the amount of packets purchased.I ordered approx 30 packets last year and it cost 75 pence to get them all here which took about a week.

Off topic I know!

On a separate note whilst supping a cold Zogorka at the local bar yesterday afternoon with my old mucker bin-laden a lorry turned up with what must have been 4 tonnes of cabbages! People and vehicles appeared from nowhere.A one hour frenzy of cabbage buying ensued until the lorry was empty! My friend and I were left to run the bar as the the lady that runs it became overwhelmed with excitement, ran out the bar and had to buy a couple of sack fulls herself! It was really funny watching vehicles, hatch backs open way overloaded with cabbages and old babba's with overloaded trolly's wheeling the things away! A man with a wheelbarrow arrived after the frenzy and collected the loose cabbage leaves from the floor! You do a market and try and get a lev for something! It was like a scene out of the film Piranha!(40 stinks a kilo by the way).

Hahahah I can just imagine the cabbage frenzy! Great stuff.

I'll have a look on e-bay at the seeds, thanks for the tip. Still hoping a few people might like to get involved in a seed swap.
