Bulgaria – Chosen as the Value for Money Destination by Tesco Money!

Bulgaria has once again been voted the most Value for money destination according to a survey conducted by Tesco Money.

Only a year ago the Post Office voted Bulgaria the best value for money destination in Europe, followed by Croatia and this year the country has not failed to deliver yet again.

The survey found that from all the 14 countries they looked at and researched that a one week holiday in Bulgaria came up to be the cheapest from them all. A week in Bulgaria for a family of 4 would cost around £1,221 for them all including transfers. At the same time a week in Brighton would set you back a total of £2209. That is £988 more than what you would pay if you visited Bulgaria.

This is why you are advised to invest in a summer holiday in Bulgaria this year or in 2011 rather than splashing your cash away. Some of then main resorts there can be compared to those in Spain or Greece and are known for the great nightlife, family fun and great weather and beaches.

In Bulgaria you can get a beer for less than £0.90 and have a 2 course meal from £10 per person. Travel fairs are also pretty cheap ranging from 1 Lev (Bulgarian money) to 10 lev for Taxis. You can exchange your money while in resort by using one of the ATMs in the resorts or by visiting an exchange bureau.

Sunny Beach (the biggest and most popular of them all), Golden Sands (the 2nd biggest but less crowded), Albena and Nessebar.

Weather:

The best time to visit is in the Summer period – May to Se as the weather is best during these summer months.

Food:

Bulgaria offer well known traditional Bulgarian food, loved by the Brits but it also has more well known European cuisine for those who are more picky and like to stick with what they know best.

Nightlife:

You will find that Sunny Beach is the busiest of them all and offers a great choice of bars and nightclubs for everyone's needs and requirements. Nightclubs are usually opened until the early hours of the morning and perfect for all party goers. You will also find may karaoke bars catering to the British tourists and with live music throughout the night.

Beaches:

Bulgaria is known for its blue flag beaches which offer clean sands, worm waters and a great variety of water sports and activities within and out of the resorts. Some of the bigger beaches offer children areas as well as water slides and life guards are present throughout.

Accommodation:

Sunny Beach and Golden Sands are the biggest resorts in Bulgaria and are known for the many great hotels which vary from budget 2* to luxury 5* hotels. It is up to you what you are after and the resorts are guaranteed to deliver it.
