| HELP after moving into our property and in preparation for building our kennels & cattery I delt with hundreds of thistles some almost 2 metres tall cutting and digging roots out. now although a few are showing this is not the problem. It is a kind of ground cover weed which is almost succulent like with tiny yellow flowers, it grows at an amazing rate, and I don't really care what its called but if someone knows then fair play please tell However what I really want to know is how to be rid of it, is there a weed killer available here that is not harmful to animals? as it would take a life time on hands and knees to clear it all . We put down a large quantity of grass seed and i think this weed stuff has snuffed it out |

| Take some of the weed to your vet. Yes indeed your vet. He/ she will know what is best to kill it without harming your pets.
I asked a similar question once about a mole, my answer came back move house. |

| I'm guessing the animals are not roaming on the affected area yet.Round up is available here at around 20 lev a litre.Don't buy the Bulgarian weed killer as it's rubbish. Now is not the time for grass seed. The ants love the stuff and tend to take it away as quickly as you put it down.Spring is the time for seed.Get the area turned over with a plough in the autumn which should be around 20-25 lev per 1000m2 (decca), in the spring get it rotovated and rollered (20-25 lev per 1000m2 again) then seed it.It tends to rain a little in the spring you see and there isn't a lot of ants nests around.Hope this helps.... |

| I covered mine totally in concrete, after living 6 months with mud and 2 dogs i could not cope with the mess, i have built on top of the concrete with flower beds and this works for me. but the weeds come through the concrete, nothing stops them. |

| Well done Star!!! I was speaking with Netsniper and he told me about the grave hence we will be doing that hopefully this year. However, our friend Krasi has told us about this weedkiller below kazvase TREVISIMO should be sprayed when the grass grows about 5 - 6 cm tall chemical weed killing 15 liters of water to put per 100 milliliters 2 - 3 weeks destroys grass and weeds We sprayed some around the pathway and where we park the jeep so hopefully when we go back we can get the jeep inside the property. | If you go into any Agri chemist and ask for Round Up that kills anything it lands on. But you cannot seed for about 6 months. |
