Opened the Metro Compact in Dobrich

Metro Cash &
Carry opened in Dobrich second country store with a new format - Metro Compact. It Bulgarian unit of Germany's already presented to thirteen sites in eleven cities.

The new format stores is directed mainly to medium and small traders. The first such object was discovered in June in Haskovo.

Metro Compact will offer its business customers - small and medium commercial business - an assortment and services necessary to meet their professional needs. With this new format we want to closer to shopkeepers to wholesalers and retailers, "
said Emilian Abadzhiev, managing director of Metro Cash &
Carry Bulgaria.

The new store has a sales area of 2000 square meters 2500 and provides food and non-food products at competitive wholesale prices. Metro Compact offers its professional customers products of the chain's own brands - and SG &
FineFood, as in a wide range of items and the cuts.

The company also provides specific advice to professional clients with solutions to modernize their business, increase sales and restructuring management.

The new facility will open around 70 jobs for citizens of the municipality of Dobri

This new Metro in Dobrich is a severe let down in comparison with the Metro in Varna. It is far smaller, has unfinished concrete floors and a very limited selection, plus restricted and inconvenient parking. Our Bulgarian friends commented that it was just like an ordinary Bulgarian food shop, but a little bigger. The tourists we interviewed in the car park on leaving (Russian, Bulgarian and Romanian) all indicated they were not keen on the place.

I bet if it were a full blown Metro tyhey would all like it

Checked Metro, Dobrich today. Not impressed, Vitually only food and drink, parking is restricted too. Maybe if you buy for a shop it may be Ok, but we won't bother again, a real disappointment compared to Varna.

We to have visited the new Metro, IMHO it does what it says on the can, compact??

So went not expecting much more, so not that surprised to find what we did, on the positive side, its another outlet we did not have before, no trouble parking and not crowded, staff friendly, but then again we did pick our time
