SOME USEFUL WORDS

Yes = Da No = Ne

Thank you = Blagodarya

Thank you very much = Blagodarya vi mnogo

You're welcome = Molya

Please = Ako obichate

Excuse me = Izvinete/Izviniavaite

Hello = Zdravei/Zdrasti

Can you tell me.where is..= Bihte li mi kazali kade e..

Good idea but in my case Beanie it would be the blind leading the blind this is a list I used to keep with me all the time to help me, at my age it so hard to retain information like this so I will leave the language to the younger ones like Chris [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I have just tried the livemocha.com site, its really good and I recommend it to anyone who needs to learn the lingo!

I've tried the BYKI course before and although it was ok was nothing more than basic (was free though) Will have a look at Livemocha too, maybe it will help fill in some gaps in my conversations lol

Most of the time I do understand what people are saying now although some words can be slightly different in different regions of the country. Although learning the language is easier when living here I think.

When I first started I used the Eurotalk interactive CD roms, they worked okay for me but I find that two weeks in Bulgaria I learn more than a whole year of learning in the UK!

I'm sure we did something like this on the Quest site. g Chris can you remember or have a copy of some of that stuff. There used to be a section in each issue of the old magazine.
