| well here we go... we went to immigration this morning, with our translater. and as you read so many conflicting stories on this subject we decidecd to take only the basics...passports , eh 1111 cards, birth certs for the kids, bank statements...proof of address...ie bills. None of this was good enough for them!!!! this is what they wanted. 1) chidrens birth certs, translanslted and notorised....well we had them translated but not notorised. 2)passports for all 5 of us , with multiple copies. 3)EH1111 cards, with multiple copies. 4)a certificate from our bank to say we can support our selves...cost was 30 leva per statement. 5)our property details, and the origional notorty documents....in multiple 6) a declaration from us as parents that we will provide for & look after our children...again in multiple copies and notorised. well we managed to get this all done in one day...lol. but by the time we had finnished doing all of this, the immigration office had closed for the BG bank holiday of liberation day so its back to the office first thing on thursday morning total cost so far. 284 leva to hire the translater & have her come with us plus translate the (3) kids birth certs plus most of the above( which also is required for the educational directer) another story...yet to come. 2.50 leva forms from immigration. 39.60 leva to have everything notorised. well thats about it untill thursday night...i will update you all on thursday. NOTHING IS QUICK OR SIMPLE HERE...or cheap... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] bob. |

| Good luck when you go back on Thursday,i know this was 3 years ago but all we had to do was show them are passports, did,nt even take our address down,or were interested in how we were going to support ourselves, queried about our son,s birth certificate as it was only an entry but still gave us our visas, altogether cost us about 15 levs and that was for our sons birth certificate being translated and signed by a notery, since then have not had to use the cards once, the only thing the cards are good for is helping somebody spell your name in bulgarian!! |

| This is bulgaria bobski. we just changed from company status to residential status on the internet/phone onto the trio package which is a good deal.
thursday it took 4 hours to change details on vivacoms computer and bingo everything changed, no problem.
gets home theyve cut us off the internet. phoned up, they said we have not paid the bill, which we had. said their was a conncection problem in our village, lies all lies. said we had connection but we cant access it because we are on firefox and it dont work on that. they said change it to google, cant cause we cant get into the computer youve cut us off.
technician spent all day trying to get it to work, no way.
By now we are pulling our hair out, phoned again, said put us back on the original package, no cant do that. he said, technician come out tomorrow. i said no im seeing my lawyer tomorrow. FIVE MINUTES LATER. internet back on. plenty more to come. lol |

| its on topic, just shows what area you have to deal with is never straight forward in bulgaria, any area whether municipality tax, car registration, whatever it is , is never straight forward and takes time and patience and money to sort. real pain here. bobski you will find that in all areas in bulgaria. tests your patience to the limit. |

| hi all, heres the thursday update.
we went to Burgas immigration this morning with all of the relevent paper work. this was checked by them.
we signed all of the forms where told to and were then sent to the bank around the corner to pay a fee of 64 leva and then returned to immigration with the receipts from to bank.
once there we were told to return on friday...none of this come back in a few hours ive heard of.
so thats another trip to Burgas on friday well if you dont laugh you would cry.
quite agree with dave b...we need a hair pulling out icon...lol. |
