Hi I have received a strange email today requesting money to be sent to a contact I have in my address book who is in a little trouble, the email looked very convincing and almost looked genuine too, it maybe that this is happening to you ? I'm not too sure yet how this is happening but it maybe that someone out there is gaining access to your address book, I do know that other members have also had the same problems with similar emails
so do be careful with what you respond to even if you think you know who sent it? below is an example, I have edited the senders name out for privacy reasons

Hope you get this on time, sorry I did not inform you about my trip to Cyprus, presently I'm in Cyprus and I'm facing some difficulties here because I misplaced my wallet on my way to the hotel where my money and other valuable things were kept. I need you to assist me with a loan of 2500 euros to sort-out my hotel bills and to get myself back home. I have spoken to the embassy here but they are not responding to the matter effectively, I will appreciate whatever you can afford to assist me with, I'll refund the money back to you as soon as I return, let me know if you can be of any help. I don't have a phone where I can be reached. Please let me know as soon as you can.
