Sofia Airport reports increased traffic for February 2010

Sofia Airport counted a 1.7 per cent increase in flight traffic in February 2010 compared to the same period the year before,
The increase in flight traffic was also accompanied by an increase in passengers. The airport saw an increase of 12 per cent in people passing through in February 2010 compared to a year earlier, despite "
unfavourable weather conditions"

Cargo traffic for the month had decreased with 1142 tons compared to 1251 tons in February 2009.
On an annual basis, however, the airport said there had been a seven per cent increase in cargo traffic.

Sofia – London was the most frequented destination for February 2010, with 31 800 passengers, 1800 more than in February 2009.
