Greece Paralyzed by New 24-Hour Strike
A new 24-hour strike organized in protest of the restrictive economic measures of the government has started off in Greece.
The strike will lead to a stopping of the railway, sea, and air transport. The employees of the Ministries, hospitals, schools, tax services, customs, and courts are also participating. Some of the workers in the private sector are part of it too, just like the postal services, the national electric company, water supply, and the media.
The organizers from the two major Greek syndicates have called a protest rally under the motto, “We won’t pay for the crisisâ€Â.
