Radisson Blu in Sofia offers December treat
The Radisson Blu in Sofia is offering a special gastronomic package during December that should appeal to sweet-lovers and those fond of more savoury treats. You could call it a kind of "
Christmas hamper"
that also offers a special taste of home for British expats.
The package, which will be served every day during December between noon and 6pm, includes an assortment of sandwiches: Turkey with brie cheese and cranberry, smoked salmon and cream cheese, pork and apple, roast beef with horseradish sauce, as well as an apple and cinnamon cupcake, a small mince pie and a scone. But the Radisson's new "
pièce de résistance"
is a special rich red velvet signature cake prepared by head chef Tanya Pravchanova, a particularly delicious cake.
The "
hamper"
is served with tea blend, coffee blend or signature hot chocolate plus a glass of champagne – all for a mere 19.95 leva.
Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday guests can enjoy a performance by a resident harpist and on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, between 5pm and 6pm, there will be songs from the choir of the National Musical Academy.
From 6pm until 8pm from Monday to Friday there will also be canapes and champagne accompanied by a resident harpist.
Other packages offered by the Radisson in the near future include a special New Year's Eve party for 198 leva, including a DJ and live entertainment (in which children under the age of 12 eat for free) and a Valentine's Day package in which a couple can stay for as little as 110 euro per night.
