| Hi Mick, not an expert, but do you have a limestone walll? do you have any soil on your back wall? or on any wall ? are you damp course proofed? We have friends with the same problem, do you have guttering? These are the basic things we tend to forget in a warm country!! not until cold weather comes do you realise the probs!! Maybe a soakaway don,t know!! might help ,good luck, |

| Its also possible that your septic tank if you have one is full of rain water and overflowed and if its near the property then it could be being sucked up, just a thought ? |

| Had a wet wall in my house two years ago . When i opened the garage it was full of rubble and rubbish . So i thought must clean that out in the mean time i will empty the swimming pool . Put the filter to drain and started up the pump , then i thought where is the water going , yes you got it it was coming out in the middle of the garage part of the house as that is where the workmen thought was a good idea to end it , or did they run out of pipe ?. |

| hi mick, is this wall in a cold room? is it near to a warm room?
if so you may just be getting condensation on the wall that looks like a wet patch or damp.

| You're showing off now John Baz- an indoor pool! LOL Seriously, that must have been a right pain. : : of ours had a " septic tank" put in, later had all kinds of disgusting yuck coming up via the floor drain in the bathroom and in the kitchen..turned out that only a metre of pipe had been run from the house straight into solid earth. The septic tank turned out to be a shallow hole with four tractor tyres thrown in higgledy piggledy and tht was tht. No pipe leading to it from anywhere anyway! The muck and smell in the house was vile. Karen |

| So we have discovered....in a stinky kind of way!
You'd laugh if you weren't already crying or gagging from the smell. Felt so very sorry for our friends.
