| I saw this on facebook on someone's else post. Don't know much about it cannot find any info on google what do you think?
UK State pension....... an interesting conversation, with someone who has a little inside knowledge... Did you know that there are currently moves afoot in the Uk parliament, to change your state pension.. from an "Entitlement" , to a " Benefit". This has already been put before the Peers for it's first vote. Maybe you think, "well what's in a name? "..... Well an "entitlement"means that you are legally Entitled to the money, but a "Benefit" is means tested ....... Wonder why that has not made the news ? |

| source: BBC Breaking news Well yet another set back Some people will not live long enough to get their pension. State pension age rise brought forward Six million men and women will have to wait a year longer than they expected to get their state pension, the government has announced. The rise in the pension age to 68 will now be phased in between 2037 and 2039, rather than from 2044 as was originally proposed. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Well...you could always be in my boat. I started working and paying proper taxes when I was just over 15 and a half yrs old....was never out of work in my life, never, ever claimed any type type of benefit from anyone until I was diagnosed with severe PTSD (by accident) when I was 57. The cause was traced back to and never disputed by the Oz bean counters. I was awarded the sum of about 15 pounds per week (in your currency) as a disability pension. So what, I hear you ask....because I live outside of Australia, I have no entitlement to an age pension, I have no entitlement to ANY medical or social benefits or support...of any kind! Much postal traffic has passed between me and the relevent authorities....the answer is always the same....if you want to receive what you are correctly entitled to, come home!! The worst part is that I would have to leave my family here and reside in Oz for a minimum of 5 yrs before I could apply for any pension....that would make me 74 yrs old before I could even apply!!!
You guys get it so easy. |
