| Hi new to the forum have thought about buying in Bulgaria for a while, recently I read an article about gypsys gutting empty properties ,is this true and if it is is it best to buy in a town ,as we would be using the house for holidays at the moment ,also we have a dog and wondered what the vets are like |

Yes and no is the answer to your question, It really depends on the village/town you are intending to buy? Yes a while back there were quite a lot of break ins buy suspected Gypsies but not all Gypsies are bad just the same as any other race. Have you decided which part of Bulgaria you want to buy in? a Town house/apartment? a village house ? Vets out here are pretty good but not as good as you would get in say the Uk. |

| Must agree with Carmen it would be helpful to know where you are thinking of moving to ? but there are good and bad here as there are anywhere in the world and that includes Towns and the City. |

| If you leave your house empty long enough in the UK or elsewhere you will come back to nothing. In my opinion a village is always going to be better because you can build up a relationship easier with your neighbours who will look after your property while your away and they will do this for either very little or in most cases out of the goodness of their hearts. |
