Well we said goodbye to Bettsie Girl today she is going to JT who will take good care of her. He fell iin love with her the first time he saw her so he is over the moon.
I was a buyer when we bough Fergie so the seller had already done all the work in drawing up the contracts so as the buyer all I had to do was pay the notary. This time I was the seller but was not prepared with any contacts as we were told the notary would draw them up but this was not the case - The notary will conduct the sale but he has to have the contract before he can do this and the contact well we should have gone to the lawyer to draw up the cntract than take it to the notary to conduct the bill of sale All very complicated here and a right royal pain in the rear end this is here in BG.
Our translator messaged last night to say she could not make it but all we achtually need is someone who can speak english and bulgarian and who has a litchen carta. Luckly the lawyer was in the same building so the notary told her we need a contract to sell the car before he can do the transfer of the sale. She than told us we need an official translator. Oops!! we don' have an official translator I contacted our friend Krum a local business man who came immediately. All went well, no need for an official just a bulgarian who can translate and a litchen carta. 63lev for the contract and notary fee and 52lev for municipality tax and Bettsie has a new owner. It was not so difficult, just confusing - Actually Krum was a right little charmer and the lawyer was eathing out of his hand. She even went to the court office herself to get us the official tax document receipt so she save us about 40 lev on the taxes. i bought her a nice box of chocs so she was very happy. I don't think I will sell a car again but you never know. Now I know the procedure it will be a piece of cake.
