An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale was registered at 9.15 p.m. in the the territory of Vrancea, Romania. The quake had a depth of 40 kilometers.
The quake was felt in several cities of northeastern Bulgaria such as Ruse, Varna, Shumen, Svishtov and others. It occured about 400 km northeast of Sofia and about 180 km from the border of Bulgaria, figures from the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences told Focus.
