First topic message reminder :

Malaysia Airlines said it lost contact with a plane carrying 239 people on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
The plane disappeared on March 8, the problem is, with so little directional information to start with (six and a partial seventh ping, transmitted at hourly intervals), are we SURE we are even searching the right ocean? Why have we heard NOTHING from Rolls Royce re the real time engine management monitoring system? If those following the serious clues left available there is only one question to ask. Why does no one mention the Indian Oceans most advanced and secure air base, the stationary Aircraft Carrier located south of the southern tip of India called Diego Garcia? Not a peep. Not even an indication of a US managed military installation that monitors everything in this war region. In fact the best old metaphor regarding the lack of reference to this location is “The Silence Is Deafening.” Only one nation on earth has the technology to remotely block a planes radar and communications if they felt their base was under threat from a terrorist attack. I believe in the coming days or weeks it will be the USA who find evidence that the plane crashed ??? but in fact I believe it was probably shot down.

Now if someone on here wrote something like this I would say they need their head looking at Malaysian Flight MH370 - Page 5 794030042

Now you have the Chinese government saying their was an ocean floor incident? that was the” tractor beam” aimed from above the plane pulling it into the cargo hold. The “big” governments need time to cover up and that's why we have the terrorism or malfunction theories. They had to cover up for this happening in a “third” world that could not figure this out. Our own technology and speed of communications is an issue now, it made it too hard to cover it up in “real time”. So Chinese and Americans needed to be called in to help cover it all up.

It's easy to sink into conspiracy theories;
everything takes an unrealistically long time and is shrouded in contradiction. Not one piece of wreckage and authorities that seem all the time to be hiding something.

From what source was this quote? It does resemble my assertion that the USS Enterprise could be held to account, mmm maybe we're onto something, tho i'm sure both possibilities have been investigated thoroughly and discounted as hoaxes.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to apologise unreservedly to the family, friends and comrades of Capt James T Kirk, my remark that he was under suspicion because "
he had illegitimate children all over the Universe"
was totally without foundation and only my personal opinion at that time and it does not imply guilt. Malaysian Flight MH370 - Page 5 2334215883

Can you imagine climbing Mt Everest and when you got to two thirds of the way up, that is about how deep the Indian Ocean is in places. I am aware that an airplane is built to withstand air pressure but not the pressure at that depth I would think that the missing airplane would be crushed into a heap of unrecognisable metal. It was even to great for the submarine drone that aborted at 4500metres

Can any of them tell the truth the first time???????????

Co-pilot's phone on after missing airliner lost contact

(CNN) - Sources tell CNN that the phone of the co-pilot of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was on when it was supposed to be off and that it stayed on after the plane disappeared.

Sources say First Officer Fariq Hamid's cell phone was on and searching for service roughly half an hour after all of Flight 370's communications mysteriously shut off, information, CNN has learned, that Malaysian authorities first gave to the U.S. a while ago.

Sources say Malaysian authorities have told the U.S. that a cell tower near Penang, Malaysia, roughly 250 miles from where the plane turned around, picked up a roaming signal from Hamid's cell phone, suggesting his was the only phone turned on after the flight's transponder turned off.

One U.S. official told CNN "
he could have tried to do something with the phone. We don't know."

While U.S. and Malaysian officials caution there's no evidence the first officer tried to make a call with the phone, on Sunday Malaysia's transportation minister did not deny the possibility.

"
As far as I know, no, but as I said that would be in the realm of the police and the other international agencies and when the time comes that will be revealed, but I do not want to speculate on that at the moment,"
said Hishammuddin Hussein, Malaysian Acting Transportation Minister.

When the plane first went missing, authorities said millions of cell phone records were searched looking for evidence calls had been made from the plan, but turned up nothing.

Still, if Hamid's cell phone connected with the tower, it not only adds to the evidence that the plane turned westward from its planned path and that the plane was likely flying low enough for a cell tower to pick up the phone's signal.

Until the powers that be, decide to let us know what they want us to know, we are not going to know the true facts. Example, nothing to do with the Malaysian flight, but to do with the bombing at Burgas airport, the picture that was given out of the bomber looking at the arrival boards on the day of the bombing, was not a real picture for that day. Although its still the official picture of him and for the day of the bombing.

I don't believe for 1 second that on a plane with over 250 people aboard the only person with a phone turned on was the co-pilot!!! How many times have you landed at an airport and the text message tones coming from phones in bags, coats and pockets??? The signal in the plane is very poor at the best of times (with it being in a metallic shell) even when at ground level, hence all the messages receiving when it lands, 30,000 feet up??? So why weren't there more phones trying to "
log in"
from that flight? Another Red Herring.

It seems that others are now thinking outside the box Malaysian Flight MH370 - Page 5 2581928987

Missing Malaysian jet MH370 may have landed and not ended in ocean?

KUALA LUMPUR: The probe into the mysterious disappearance of the Malaysian jet is now looking at the possibility that the plane may have landed somewhere as no debris has been found so far, a media report has said.

A report in the New Strait Times quoting sources within the international team probing the disappearance said that among the areas it was revisiting was the possibility that the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 had landed elsewhere, instead of ending up in the southern Indian Ocean.

"
We may have to regroup soon to look into this possibility if no positive results come back in the next few days ... but at the same time, the search mission in the Indian Ocean must go on,"
the source was quoted as saying.

"
The thought of it landing somewhere else is not impossible, as we have not found a single debris that could be linked to MH370. However, the possibility of a specific country hiding the plane when more than 20 nations are searching for it, seems absurd,"
the sources said.

Another possibility was that the flight had crashed landed in a remote location, the source said.

Members of the International Investigation Team (IIT) who have been making efforts since day one to find the plane are now looking at the likelihood of starting from scratch, the report said.

The sources admitted to the daily that it was difficult to determine if the Boeing 777-200 had really ended in the Indian Ocean, though calculations carried out pointed to the direction.

They pointed out that the Malaysian-led investigation team, together with experts from Inmarsat and the United Kingdom's Air Accidents Investigation Branch, had to rely on a communications satellite, which did not provide any definite details, including the plane's direction, altitude and speed.

"
A communications satellite is meant for communication... the name is self-explanatory. The reason investigators were forced to adopt a new algorithm to calculate the last known location of MH370 was because there was no global positioning system following the aircraft as the transponder went off 45 minutes into the flight,"
one of the sources was quoted as saying.

The IIT, the source said, was also looking at adding more assets to be to the existing search area in the Indian Ocean, as well as widening the search area as they feared that the search team had been "
looking for the plane in the wrong place"
.

The Beijing-bound Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 - carrying 239 people, including five Indians, an Indo-Canadian and 154 Chinese nationals - had mysteriously vanished on March 8 after taking off from Kuala Lumpur.

if this plane is on land and the powers to be in Malaysia know about it, it will be the largest and most expensive cover up hoisted. It could very well be that the pilot(s) are negotiating with the Malaysian government for political reasons and they (the government) are so engulfed in it they cant find a way out to save face....If that's so I hope their treasury is well stocked. One thing that continues to be a real question is the apparent lack of a water surface debris field from MH 370. Perhaps it pretty much stayed intact upon landing on the water, perhaps breaking up into major pieces upon hitting the water and quickly sinking. Since the possible crash sites were in areas with very limited sea traffic and the true site is still not known, much of the debris drifted for a short time and sunk long before it could be seen. Perhaps there was some highly secret satellite information as to this flight and it possible crash site, but security cover could not be blown as well as not realizing data collected could have been MH 370 and ignored it as not seen as important at the time.
I also wonder if the Malaysian government could have said something a lot sooner about the loss of communications of MH 370 and notified other countries to be on the lookout for it but that due to poor command and control structure, incompetence or to save face, failed to do so. Apparently according to the latest news possible debris have been found??? but I'm not sure I can believe that suddenly 6 weeks later debris have began washing up on Perth's shoreline, when the whole of this area and its offshore ocean will be bustling a busy with search rescue aircraft etc. passing over and by all the time. They would also of noticed as boats have been around that ocean area , of any debris floating. It could mean things have been deliberately planted now in order to pacify the families and bring a closure to this, even if its not the truth.....Australian officials have said they can not continue search for much longer....they too want an end. keep throwing in stuff like this really isn't helping, its confusing and misleading.

Sooner, or later, some one in the Malaysian government is going to have to explain why their military picked up the tracking of a large aircraft flying without a transponder identification, was unable to contact them, tracked the plane for hundreds of miles both over water and their country, and did not send a fighter jet, or other aircraft, up to check the plane out? Had they done that, they would have found out there was something wrong. They also could have followed the plane to where it finally went down. These questions also apply to their civil aviation authority. How can a plane of this size not be picked up? How can a plane, obviously flying in the wrong space, not be picked up by the country's radar systems, and not sending something up to check out/follow the plane when they could not contact it?

Let's take a starting point that 'the authorities' are lying, because they have something to hide. (It's almost certain that someone has been mislaying the public or hiding what they knew). What would 'they' like to pretend has happened? Top of the list, I'd say, is that the plane took an inexplicable route, crashed somewhere in the ocean where no one goes and is now resting under 1000s of metres of water. Er ... isn't that what the authorities claim ? The responsibility of the media is to consider any evidence or report that questions the official story and implies that there has been an enormous cover-up. Malaysian Flight MH370 - Page 5 739492727
