Hi Folks

We had some down-time on the forum last week, which was due to a problem with the SQL database (this is a database that stores all the information about the forum, the members, all the posts, etc.).

We managed to get everything back up and running but it appears not everything is working exactly as it was before the issue (for instance, the Karma figures seem to have been wiped out).

Whilst we're doing all we can to ensure the smooth running of things, would you all be extra alert and if you spot anything about the forum that doesn't seem right, or any problems, please could you let me or Ash (admin) know as soon as possible.

Yes, you are right Chris - the Karma figures seem to have gone 'skew wiff' this morning. But a small price to pay for being a member of this great Forum.

email notifications, i thought i had become popular for a moment, sadly not Hehe.

Is there still a karma issue as I got another one this morning, don't know whether it's genuine or not
Do you think it is now time to put all members back to zero or perhaps do away with them altogether, we can all still be ::

Thanks Bryan. Yes indeed we still have a couple of problems, especially with Karma;
There will be some odd notiifications and increased karma points for various members until we get things sorted. Thanks again:
