Golly gosh seems like Bulgria has caught up with the UK as most of the shops in Silistra now have Christmas stock on display. I remember several year ago at the end of Nov we were lookngfor Xmas paper to wrap some gifts up for our frineds n the village and the shopkeepers were very surprised they told us yes, 2 weeks before Christmas we will have. WOW!!! how things have changed. :Xmas4: :Xmas3:

They have a way to go to catch British supermarkets. Deliveries start in July and the stock is put out the day the kids go back to school at the end of summer. Crazy. Then you get people complaining because the mince pies run out of date before the end of December. Supermarkets rely heavily on people buying and eating early so that they have to buy in more when 'just one' turns into a whole packet!

Around here there is little evidence of the looming festive season. The supermarkets in Pleven are introducing a few items including frozen turkeys and stollen cake. Apart from that nothing as yet . . thank goodness.

There is a Christmas Fayre on 17th Nov in VT Trinity Rocks Farm. A fundriser for one of the orphanages we also support. We ae going to be visitors only at this event and I am looking forwardd to to the high tea. Hope to see you there!!!! Do come and find me See below for details

flavours, Candle holders/sticks, Pottery by a master potter, painted glass, Hand crafted Christmas cards, Jewellery, Découpage, Wood crafted puzzles, clocks &
gifts, Felt handbags, Crafty gifts for adults babies &
children, Paintings, bric a brac, Preserves pickled onions, English second hand books DVD's &
video's, Home made cake sale, Mulled wine &
Baileys hot choc stall &
off course no Christmas fayre would be complete without a grotto Father Christmas &
gifts for the children!!!!! So spread the word to people with kids. More stalls will be added once confirmed.
