Bulgaria PM Opens Infamous Blagoevgrad Ski Center

Bulgaria PM Boyko Borisov has opened the new ski center Kartala near Blagoevgrad, which is infamous for an incident in 2008 in which ex PM Sergey Stanishev was left stuck in the ski lift for 40 minutes.

Borisov said;
“Wishing you health, luck and the flawless use of lift equipment,” as he opened the center. He also pledged funding to repair the road from Kartala to Blagoevgrad.

Earlier in the day Borisov, together with the mayor of Blagoevgrad, Kostadin Paskalev, opened the problematic repaired street "
Slavyanska"
in the city. He added that BGN 800 M has been made available to complete the reconstruction of the water network in Blagoevgrad.

Borisov concluded that thanks to joint efforts with business next year will be good for local governments.
