I often wonder who people binge on alcohol - personally I don't indulge very often in the stuff but do have a glass of wine now and then topped up with lemonade of course Now the hot weather is upon us again does this encourage us to drink more alcohol or perhaps more soft drinks. The supermarket checkouts are full of beers and wine so that in itself tells me sales hits the roof. Every time you hear of a BBQ people bring bottles of booze wonder what someone would say if you turned up with a bottle of lemonade (hum might try that next time) probably get thrown out

Berni, you have to bear in mind that with the hot Sun, comes the barbecue ... the only time of the year when the 'man of the house' actually puts down the TV remote control and becomes the 'established cook'!

Therefore, a glass of something alcoholic is usually, not only nice, but essential, when trying to force down those little burnt, charcoal looking offerings (that are usually still raw in the middle).

Personally, I'm not a great fan of 'cola' type drinks, so a cold Zagorka or Kamenitza really does the job.

Its also a social thing at this time of year when the sun is out and shining so people do tend to gather in groups especially blkes and have a jar or too while they watch all the ladies go by

Oh Blink you wouldn't be doing that would you ? As for us girls well yes it is a social thing but we do get thirsty too and maybe some of us watch the buys go by
